Thank you all for your kind comments. I agree it is a bit soft. I just got my 50D and don't have the lenses I want yet. This one will have to do for now. In the meantime I am really enjoying the new toy.

Beautiful subject. Good detail, dof and color. I would crop some off the right side and bottom to put more focus on the flower. I used to live in Vancouver and miss the plant life, but, it doesn't snow and rain much in the desert. I look forward to more of your work.
