Definitely unique. Interesting--almost disturbing--but dynamic and effective.

Louise--this would certainly be an alternative crop--the reason I left the original there was that it balanced the upper blue and was etherial with the mood.

I think you could have posed our model a little lower to get more detail in the legs. Also, perhaps a small light inside the flower to highlight the wings. I understand that working with models like this one is very difficult. I have the same problem--their relatives are always buzzing around behind me distracting both me and the model. Lovely, rich colors--excellent isolation and story telling. William.

I like the tones and the light. Focus and dof are right on.

thanks for all the comments. I shot this at the new 'dock' area I built this spring down at the bottom of the front yard. The attached photo is the project half completed. It will be a great new shooting area.

I use fill on most of my bread and butter portraits. It's simple and guaratees work that consistantly sells.

For the record I probably should have put this under 'pictures of our members'--but then--aw, heck!@. I still believe that working with color and light helps us grow. And, after all, I was some cume latte in finger painting in kindergarden!

Lovely light. My suggestion here--and YOU are the MASTER of sunsets--is to focus on the foreground leaves. DOF should take care of the horizon. Enjoy your shot on theultimateportrait.com

Thanks for the comments. And, yes, a little dark--you can see an earlier shot with a different model on page ll of my portfolio. The waterfall is just outside the studio door on the way to the greenhouse and pool. All natural, Joe.

Great angle. Super color and composition. I started on usefilm and then moved over to sig only because there was more action. Then sig got violent and willis broke something that was working. Almost everyone is over here now. I would expect volume has increased three to five times on usefilm now. Should help Altaf pay the bills. Nice to see you here--enjoy!
