Hi Arrey, It's a long time since I've been on the site - very busy working!!!!!
I'm glad you like the photo, and Jenny is now 6 years old.

Lovely photo.

The greyscale and colours work so well, and the child's expression is great.

Thanks for the comments Arrey and James.

Arrey, I don't get the time to come here now I work, but try to have a look as much as I can. I didn't use any flash, and used auto mode because Jenny was in an energetic mood, and ran off soon after I snapped the shot.

James, I agree the light is a little harsh. I think winter sun (being so low) can have that effect.

Sarah,
The sharpness in the main sunflower is excellent, and I like the really dark blue sky, it sets off the flowers so well.

Hi Karen,
thanks for looking through my portfolio.
This one reminds me of the one you commented on just a moment ago. It's great to take these unusual portraits isn't it.
Your daughter is beautiful. How old is she?

I like the enclosed feeling here. Was this taken in the UK (looks like it), and if so, where?

Good placement of the house. Nice.

You have some nice pics in your portfolio Brian.
I use to live in Derby many years ago, I now live in Wales. We both are lucky to live in/near areas of beauty.

I have to agree, this flower is indeed lovely.

I have grown these in my garden in the past, and I think the petals are fantastic.

This is a nice macro shot, with good sharpness and nice lighting. It's just a shame about the right lower corner being a different colour, but then, when you shoot flowers in their natural environment, sometimes you can't choose the background....
