OOOH... precious image.
Ma pointed me in this direction to come look at this pic.... she went on...and on... and on about it & I can see why!
Fantastic! What everyone above said, and I love her expression too. Everything is perfect, the light, the DoF... the moment. This one is GOLD babe

cheers, Beks

Hi Mick,

Welcome to the Kodak P850... a great little camera.
The grid feature I mentioned is actually a grid I use in the program called Photoshop, or PS for short... and not something I activated on the camera unfortunately.
I took this picture, and the horizon was not level, so I straightened in the post-production editing.

Hope this helps,

cheers, Bek

Love the perspective in this Txules, and the sense of movement.
The grain and tones are perfect, making me dig deeper & deeper into the image to discover all the details.

cheers, Bex

Liz baby!!!!
Great to 'see' you Awww... well I keep getting asked to shoot weddings, and I don't have the technical knowhow to deliver what I would expect as a bride, so I have enrolled in a course to get me some help hehehe.
Also, tomorrow the postie should be delivering me my external flash unit and battery-pack, so I am well chuffed!

and.... yyes, email me said comp entry... although, the way that you put it you may want to ask someone else... haha. But I will be honest

hear from you soon,

Thanks Stan, I have had it since September last year, but have not taken nearly enough shots of late as I would like :(, and haven't been able to get back into the flow of things here at UF.
The colours of the waterline are fantastic aren't they? It was all of those arcs and lines that really caught my eye. Your comment is greatly appreciated.
cheers, Beks

Thankyou Julie, have entered it in 'Alone'.
I was visiting my mother and saw how low the water level of the lake was, and how the retaining wall was exposed and just knew I wanted to get some shots with the curve of the wall and the rocks.
So far I am enjoying the course, and think it will teach me what I need to learn about the technical aspects of photography... an area I seriously lack any knowledge of

And a remarkable image Txules! You have captured a 'moment' as you were traveling by, and created a very nostalgic looking image by the tones you have selected. I love it.:)

The composition is fantastic, and also the colours.
Is it slightly tilting to the right..or is it just my weary eyes??? Anyway, great work...will try to find some more time to look at your recent posts....one day :(

Hey there Aleksander, thanks so much for your great comment.
I am very happy to hear that you see all these things in this image...and as i said, when I first viewed the original capture, there was something strong in her pose that I wanted to accentuate.
Once again, thanks for such a fantastic comment, much appreciated.
cheers, Beks
