She is actually laying horizontal, but the location and angle chosen gives the illusion of gravity even in the landscape view. I chose a vertical presentation out of personal choice. No ps on this one

This is a beautiful treatment on film. This has the same elegance as many of your still life images have. The light is different, but very appealing and works well with the material. Well chosen angle and subject disassociation. J.

You are in my opinion one of the better photographers on the critique sites in the genre of photojopurnalism. There is normally a significant element of fine art to the individual images. I consider that genre as one of mine, and I am often envious. Regards, J.

Congatulations.....That is a nice little award on a very nice image. I was wondering how long it would take, as it was only a matter of time. Once again, you make use of natural light and still life as well as anyone, and I bet it is something simple. Very well done. Regards, J.

I rated this yesterday, and have commented on it on another site some months back. I remembered it was from a point and shoot, and that it had a power in angle and timing. I would look to work on the scan, because this is a truly special image, and you deserve to present it at its highest level. I gave a 9 as is.........Why wouldn't it be your best? It would be for countless many. J.

I agree with Darrin in that it has a very 3D feel which, somehow is strange to me. Very 3D.... If I were you I would explore the idea of capturing abstract images based on her hair. The use of water, oil, etc. There is a great deal of potential, and she is somewhat of a captive subject, or are you?.....By the way, pick up some Ilford xp2 super c-41 B&W and create. Regards, J.
