Excellent idea very well performed though I don't like the frame. It destracts too much from the picture.

A very fine composition and a nice framing effect. It sure looks like the famous Venitian masks.

Beautiful work!

I would have liked to see more of his face, more ( or much less ) of his right hand and some smoke. Perhaps even a flame.

However the light is very nice as is the tonal range.

A strong and bold composition with a excellent mirror effect and well saturated colours.

Thanks for commenting.

Maybe I should add that the streetsign "Rosengade" means Rose Street.

That's clever! The contrasts and tonal range of the b/w image is just superb and on top of that the far-away illusion of gentle landscapes in colour ecxellently added together.

Great work!

Welcome. :-) It's a great debute, but I have to point out one minor flaw: The horizon isn't straight! You ought to have fixed that in a editing program before posting. It's quite easily done. :-)

Apart from that it's a wonderful image with atmosphere and a splendid light. Keep on shooting!

A picture that makes me want to visit that wonderful city again!

You've captured the mood so well and done a great digital job.

You've achieved to bring out a rough feeling of the concrete walls. Nice use of light and a very good composition.

Nice composition and very nice reflection, but the image appears to be overshapend and with too much contrast.

Very nice perspective. I like the boldness of the vast empty space.

WOW! Absolutely stunning picture.

Is it all natural or did you enhance/improve anything on the computer? :-)

A very nice view. Have you considered to tone the background to match the overall blue hue?

Quite a view! Try a tripod next time and make sure the horizon is levelled.

Thanks Ferdinando,

It's not a macro but a enlarged selection. The softness is probably due to the "Oil Pastel".

Nice composition and very nice saturated colours. Only your photograph lacks some sharpness.

One thing I don't understand here on this site. How come we take the time to view and perhaps even rate each others images but leave no comments. I do not ask for long explanations, simply: "I like / dislike it because ..."

A quite nice portrait, I would however have liked if the background had been horizontal. But I like the boat passing, it adds some life to the scene.

Chopping off the lower part of your face doesn't make a pleasing "portrait".
