Cool effect around the little fog rider/ghost rider! I like the fact that you can't see his face or hands - adds to the mysterious mood...
I think you're right about the 'glow' around the boy - probably the white of the bike reflecting off the mist in the air. Either that or he's breaking the sound barrier!

Very 'Marionnesque' indeed! Beautiful in it's delicate translucency and lightness... You are in your 'blue' period!

What a pretty scene, Alison - stark, yet still inviting! From the look of all the footprints, I'd say that little bench is a popular destination! Cool that you were able to retain some detail in the tree trunk!

Lovely shot, Laurie - I like the concentric circles centered on the bird, and the little bit of sunlight catching his shoulders!

Stark and beautiful, Carsten! I like the way you placed the sun in the center vertically with the dried stalks in the field leading toward it! Beautifully white snow, but I'm happy to be seeing it on my computer only, and not out my window!

Majestic is right! This is a very nice take on Half Dome - I love the way you framed it naturally with the inky black silhouettes! You sure do get around!

Pretty cool shot, Paul! It seems like that structure would be rather cold and utilitarian were it not for the playful colored light cast by the windows. Nice architectural lines - kind of 'German' feeling to me!

Lindísima puesta del sol, Zeev! En tu 'about' lo has dicho exactamente: 'cada puesta de sol tiene su propia magia' - por eso nunca nos cansamos de verlas ni de tomarlas! Muy bien lograda!

Lovely photo, my friend, and so beautifully backlighted! I love the soft, even tones and the wonderfully blurred background!

Is he posing for you or what? The little bits of sea foam at the top look like clouds in a pale-blue sky, and the little sandpiper is somehow suspended in it... With that pose he looks like a pointer dog that has seen a duck!

I like the color version specifically because the sky is so blue! To me the black and white version looks too somber, whereas the color version is more uplifting.
I hope that poor little bird that's about to smash into the wall was alright!

Wonderful shot, Laurie! I love the way you get a perfect underside view in the reflection - really nicely done!

I love the ripples that are left when the tide goes out, especially when the sun is low to really make them pop like you caught them here! I don't know if I'd seen such a big expanse of them before - perfect entry for the current project!

I really do like them both, Becky, but if pressed I'd have to say the main post above has more impact! The second version is really pretty, and the russet color of the foreground weeds is lovely, but overall it has a more static feel, maybe because of the very balance that the foreground brings to it. I like the crispness of the first image, all blues and greens except where the sun has broken through on the field... Plus I love the 'weight' you've given the sky!

'Squawk' = 'Enough with the pictures already!' in Gull-ese! Love the shadow falling into the open area of the frame. I'd never noticed how red their mouths are!

What an odd little bridge! It looks really precarious the way it's perched up on those rocks! I like the way Yami is positioned, and her stance.
It looks to me like it has a slight greenish tint. I tried adjusting the color balance - what do you think?

That curve in the building does look like the tail of a grand piano - natural for you to see that, I think, because you are a music lover as well! I like the little lamp post straining it's neck to be seen in the photo!

Well then, if a temple is a place where people show reverence, then I think this *does* qualify as one (at least to the old men! I like the way the reeds lead the eye to the tower, then the wires take us down to the building!

Wow! Linda, I'm sorry I'm so late getting around to commenting on this - it's absolutely stunning! Amazing how the sky goes from deep blue to blazing gold all in the same scene, and the clouds are just magnificent! So terribly sad about your brothers and sister, but they'd be proud - this is a fitting tribute indeed!
Big hugs to you, my friend!

Really beautiful, muted colors, Yami - nicely seen! It looks like a lovely, serene place to wander and think... even the trees are reflecting (ha!

Excellent study in sharp angles and shadows! It looks so cold and utilitarian, but I guess the FBI doesn't have much use for aesthetics!
I'm surprised you weren't taken down and your camera smashed!

A great sense of majesty in this tree - it's as though the sun itself is playing second fiddle to it! You did a great job of keeping the sun from overwhelming the scene!

Very cool and kind of inconguous! The little red seeds add a nice impact to the otherwise muted colors, and it makes me wonder just what they are, how did they come to be there? Good eye to have seen the potential in this - I would put it in the 'Patterns in Nature' project!

I like it, Laurie - I had to laugh at Linda's comment, because I thought something very similar! It looks like a spiffy gentleman out for a liesurely stroll in his morning-coat
