Excellent series, this one been my favourite from the 5.
Really like the warm duotone of this image, adds melancoly to the usual busy plublic transport.
kind regards,
Derek

You did it again. As autumm, this shot is excellent, looking forward to see summer and winter now - and though I don't know how is going to be winter, as the two seasons you already posted have warm golden tones... will you step away from this tones?

gracias kike, a mi tambien me gusta mucho tu portfolio.
comentar... Es una de las cosas buenas y al mismo tiempo malas de esta web. Demasiadas fotos buenas y no suficiente tiempo de comentar. A veces me pasa q no paso de la primera pagina de recientes porque quiero comentar en algunas!! ...otras solo miro, no comento...

nice b/w! white flowers like this one work brilliantly in b/w, they really become the hero, as the foliage sinkss back in the backgroung with all that mid-range greys.
When you did the conversion to greys from RGB, did you look at the channels to only use one of them? (I say that becouse the tones in the greens seem really dark, like the blue channel) Sometimes I isolate one of the channels for the grey conversion, is like using a coloured filter at the moment of taking the photo

lovely tones and use of a shallow DOF. The textures are amazing too!! so much colours and pattern in the rust... is great!

lighting is always tricky in macro... I have a dedicated macro flash to avoid the shadow of the lens, but sometimes I use the pop-up one with bits of white card to make it reflect and go were i want, avoiding the lens shadow...
focus is another problem, I don't own a macro lens, i do everything with bellows and tubes, so the DOF is really shallow and out of focus images are really easy to get, what i tend to do anyway, is instead of focusing with the lens I move the camera back and forth slightly until i get the desired focus point - seems easier to me.
lots of fun doing macro...

lovely composition and light.
Did you use any reflector for this shot? doing macros is one of the problems I find... getting the correct amount of light in the spot you want... specially outdoors.

beautiful. Love the light you use here, plus the high contrast. You have some excellent selfportraits in your porfolio, very good ones too. I suppose being gorgeous helps the appeal of the image, but you also have some great expressions!

great study!
Congratulations on the POTD!

Beautifuly warm yellows you got here. At the same time I did the broccoli I also shot a lemon, but I got the light terribly wrong, and the shots were terrible.

I really like the lighting you have here, especially the one with the backlight one, shows the lemon textures brilliantly. Well done!

Is fun to do compositions with 3 images, isn't it?

Regards,
Derek

I think you succeed in solving all the problems you thougth you may encounter. The prespective looking down is great, the sense of scale is absolutely incredible. Perfect composition Marc, lovely colours, and low speed to acomplish than mirror effect in the water and a well choosen moment of the day to press the shutter button makes this image an trully especial one.
I believe that this image will transport you directly to that place again.
Thanks for sharing such a beautiful image. Too my favs without a doubt
