Did you take a photo of the bird who lost this feather? Try a smaller aperture for more even sharpness ( higher aperture number )

A different way of using a polarizing filter.. good capture ... The left side of photo (Right side of face) takes eye away from view of sea needs to be out of focus there I think

Thanks for the comments the camera is a p71 model picture was taken 1280*960 standard, low setting I know but at the moment have only 16 meg card
