Omer I think this is a wonderfull shot full of atmosphere, but why did you not straighten the verticals in PS? it can be done and helps the shot no end..

Well Larry, sorry to fly in the face of common opinion, but here goes, yes she is a looker, yes it is a great place, yes the water is a great color, and yes the whole scene works well.
But No, the price tag? sticking out the back of the shorts/shirt does not work, and detracts from the whole picture, also the dark background blends in with her hair, you either need a higher angle for the shot or get her to stand further to the right where the dark horizon raises above her headline.
otherwise a nice shot.
Regards, Kevin.

If you are using photoshop, then open the picture as another layer and use the burn tool from the left hand selection to burn in the sky.

Hi Randy, I think this is a fine picture, the composition is great as is the rural subject, I feel the sky could use a little burning in though.

I think this is a great picture that could be so much more, the orange is overpowering and detracts from the overall feel, this is of course just my opinion, please tell me why you never worked it in B/W

Hi Doug, I think it is Aphid crap! it is on all the pictures I took so is nothing to do with taking the picture, these flowers are very small as can be seen by the pollen on the petals.

Thanks for all the comments, I think the yellow is a little out of focus although I don't know why as it is amongst all the others and they seem fine?
Giannis how come you will be coming to Reading then?

Hey Chuck nice work, is this in the same area as the old store at rogers mill? the only niggle I have with the image is that it is off level. I like the general image though a lot, I may have to track it down next visit.

keep up the good work, GA needs you.

Hey Chuck, once again you have captured the feel of the south, I can almost taste the dust from the road, it is great to see you continuing to document these old places I comend you on your work.
Kevin.

I will be back over in GA in late September and look forward as ever to the visit, I have a mind to photograph some of those old breakfast cafe's that fast seem to be dissapearing from the small towns, I wish I could spend more time in the US as there is just so much to work with.

Hi Timothy, I had to make a couple of adjustments in photoshop as you can see from the attached original, firstly I had to adjust the perspective as I was unable to get close to the boat to get the shot I wanted, I then had to crop in tight to remove the plastic boat from the left side, lastly I desaturated the water area, and used one of the blur tools on the water and jetty/post.

Thanks for the comment, as for the E1, I love it, it has a solid feel and a nice balance, it is very quiet and fast in use, and does everything with an air of quality. some of the pre-sets are not to my own likeing, but that is my feel, I am sure that for others they are fine. It feels just like a 35mm slr and has a lot in common with my old F90x.

I don't know if anybody from Olympus ever see these boards, but I have this to say.... Digital SLR's cost the average man a lot of money, and it would be nice to think they would last, so why do they not give 2 years warrenty, and how about making the digital sensor capable of being upgraded as and when higher resolutions as and when they become available, as I for one would pay to have the upgrade.
