Brilliant shot - very creative.
If you're having trouble with sharpness/vibration, does your camera support mirror lockup? Try it if it's available - it may make all the difference.

Cats are just so photogenic aren't they? I wonder if you could have composed this so that there was a bit more space on the left of the frame - to me this guy loks like he's looking straight at the edge of the photo rather than into open space, if you see what I mean.

Powerful image, and nicely exposed. However, it could do with being rotated to the right by a degree or two to make those verticals vertical.

Very nice - that effect of the light on the water was what I was thinking of when I saw your "Black River Sunset"

Nice shot - this works really well against the black background

Beautiful memories indeed :-)
"Dundee"? a bit optimistic, IIRC we stopped after a few steps on the bridge and retreated to Newport-On-Tay...maybe we'll have to go back so you can actually visit the land north of the Firth of Tay (I've heard a rumour that there are some nice castles up on the coast around there)

Nicely captured
When it gets to the point where you could classify wildlife shots as macro, you know they're getting too tame.

A brave posting for a vegetarian ;-)
I've got a few of this guy (Lupo, I believe his name was) which I must think on to have a look through...a very photogenic creatire

In this case the mood would be "severe discomfort" coupled with "mild embarassment". I had to lean over the top of a fairly tricky bit of hedgerow to get this one, and was leaning in all sorts of positions to try and get the whole pylon to fit into my lens. I must have looked quite a sight when form behind be I heard a cheery "Hello" from my neighbour who'd decided to pop out for a walk at about the same time :/

Good memories indeed :)
Nice rich colours in that sky, and great effect with the light hitting the ground.

Nice contrasts. This works well as a B&W - converted using LAB mode in PS?

This is a great capture, but from the thumbnail those white patches under his mouth just look to me like he's wearing a pair of comedy fake buckteeth.

Excellent detail, but I'm not sure about the butterfly's placement in the frame. There's nothing here to keep the eye interested in the lower left corner. I'd be tempted to recompose so that the cutterfly is in the lower left, and looking towards the centre of the frame, or just to crop this image down.

INteresting angle. Have you thought about doing this shot as a black & white? I find pylons work really well as subjects for monochrome

A nice view . I know what was in the foreground, so congratulations on resisting the "oh..look at me...I've got a polarizer" option ;-)

I know it was handheld and pretty low light when we took shots around here - this has turned out really well. What's the PS effect you've used on this one?

A colour version? I have, as a matter of fact, but I still think this one works better as a monochrome

Another nice shot..and, would you believe it, I have one very similar :-)
It's a shame that the beam of light from the sun highlighting the buoy isn't more pronounced - I thought you'd managed to capture it more distinctly, but I may be thinking of a different shot...somehow I have the feeling you took a few here ;)

This is another one of your shots where I've got something very similar...except mine has something extra in the doorway. Hmmm...maybe I should post that one on UseFilm

Well spotted and well taken (nice 'about' too).
For me the magic in this one is in the little details, like hte droplets of water on the petals, and the little star effects where the sun has caught the water.
I also like the darkness in the water - I assume that's your polariser at work getting rid of some of the surface glare?

I love the way you've caught the detail on this one, and the colour saturation is spot on.
I didn't expect this as your first upload from the weekend, but it's a great image...and it's good to now you enjoyed the weekend :-)

There is a lt of black on there, so I'd normally have suggested going for the version with the least black, like the others have so far.
However, I think the original version works better because of the way that the dark area in the bottom left helps to frame the shot.
As an experiment I tried editing this a bit, and tweaked the curve for the bottom right-hand side to bring out a bit more brightness where there's detail to be had.....

I managed to snap him dusting himself down...
