Beautifully done. You can still see the outline and highlights of her hair without it fading into the background, and still got great skin tones as well. Nice composition and a lovely smile. Beautiful work Carol.

Simple use of shadow combined with a rough as guts surface, it works very well for a great contrast. Be very interested in how you actually shot this! Nicely done, and I'd have to agree, seems to fit the idea of a CD cover very well.

Unusual pattern, the combination draws the eyes in multiple directions, making it impossible to focus on a single area, but making me view all of the photo. Love the earthy tones, fits the theme very well.

This is incredible, I couldn't even pick at first what was happening, had to really take a closer look. Very unusual, the green tones add a lot. Interesting work!

This is a very complex image, obviously taken a lot of work to put together. I like the transparency of it all, making it all more nebulous and difficult. A strong, solid piece of imagery, well done. The only suggestion I would make is that the cross in the top left hand corner looks a little artificial compared to the rest of the piece. But overall, a strong solid image, well done.

It's an interesting effect, but I'd be inclined to go with the original. It had a grittiness which made the closeness and intimacy of the twins even stronger, to my mind. But nevertheless, I think this is a good image, and well done!

Beautiful composition. Such a serene and peaceful setting. The lack of colour and detail on the person, to me, really makes it beautiful, allowing the viewer to easily put themselves into it.

Yup, this is definitely crisper. I like the fact that the eyes are sharper, but there's a slight difference in colour. Which is closer to her natural colour? Beautiful girl.

It's quite yellow, but I don't think that's a bad thing. I like her casual pose, and I think it's fantastic she's not wearing shoes! Big big fan of that. I like the strong colours.

You've certainly got dark and moody down pat and working well. Perhaps it's only because I first saw it in glancing, but that rock (I think?) in the middle first looked like a head to me, with a hat on. Perhaps I shouldn't look at photos right after watching horror movies

I love the saturation of colours here, it almost feels unreal. I understand what you mean about the foliage in the foreground, but I'd suggest it's only distracting because of it's brightness. Perhaps if you played with masks (a hard thing on such natural subjects) and reduced it's intensity to something more like the branches at the top of the image, it might work in a way you're happier with.
Regardless, it's a very nice shot of a fascinating subject.

I love the grainyness, the grunginess of the background colour. Adds a bit of grittiness, makign it more interesting than a flat colour.
Good composition and well captured. Only one thing that I noticed is on the right hand side of the silhouette, there's a small slice of it which isn't pure black, but it's barely noticeable.

The darkness of the sky and landscape certainly contribute strongly to the feeling of abandonment. Barring the posts, you get the feeling it's an area largely untouched, never spoilt, empty and alone. Did you artificially darken the image, or was it much like this when you saw it?

This is a beautiful image Carol, very emotional. It's interesting how you didn't centre the girls more, but I keep feeling my eye drawn to them. A great sign of solidarity in an otherwise bleak, empty sort of landscape.

I wonder, what time of the day was this shot at? The brightness fading from right to left is quite a drop, was it coming on towards evening?

I'm trying to find the old one to compare with, and can't seem to, which is frustrating, I thought I kept a copy of all your work, and I don't see it on your portfolio here.
Having said that, I have the distinct impression that there is a lot more visual detail in this one that wasn't there before, a lot more of the smaller fine details show up nicely.
What new filtering techniques have you learnt? Is there anywhere I can read up on them?
Nicely done, though, very nice photo.
