Just when I think I am getting the hang of this photography I come across a photo like this and realise I have so much more to learn.
It is fabulous Pia, the lighting, the pose, the dof and the model is very beautiful also.
I just love your portfolio :-)
Best wishes,
Steve

Thanks Ryan - unfortunately, every shot following this had dust on the sensor. This was due to the electro magnetic field produced from the 440 odd thousand volts just above my head. I doubt I will be taking similar shots in the future lol

Hello Jack, lovely to hear from you.
I do still pop in on Usefilm from time to time - I owe this site a lot for all the friends I have met both online and in person and have learned so much.
I am pretty busy with other jobs that keep me away from posting as often as I would like to though !
All the very best wishes Jack.

Hi AJ,

Many thanks indeed, yes the camera was level and this waterfall really is quite low down in relation to the skyline and unfortunately, is very awkward to get to to get the prize shot.
I know what you mean, thinking on it may have been better to take another few photos to the right and stitch those as well to give a greater perspective.
On the subject of stitching, I used a combination of Canon Photostitch and manual for a few of them - to be honest, I do enjoy the challenge of stitching. Maybe one day I will get a 12-24mm lens - although if those red kites keep appearing I may go for the 100-400is instead !

I know the feeling, it is good to be back and if it was not so restrictive on this site I would rejoin in a heartbeat and be posting more often.

I'm hoping it will change over time to how it used to be again lol.

Excellent work Nikki - I was looking at an electric toothbrush in a "cheap" store catelogue yesterday and it was £125 sterling !!!!!

Hi Nikki,
The door is actually open and I did use some "dodge" in photoshop to show what was in the waiting room.
I knew it was going to be grainy but rather than use any noise removal I decided to leave it as-is.

Hi Melanie,
Many thanks indeed, I also like the muted colours but looking at some of the comments they are not to everyones taste lol
Well, they say photography can be subjective !
Thanks again,

Excellent Riny, I wondered about B&W as it certainly would suit the era perfectly.

I have another one with the sepia treatment that I may upload tomorrow lol

Totally different to this one :-)

Thanks again my friend, super to hear from you again.
