Gostei do tom da imagem. Talvez um corte no topo? Não muito. (Pena que a turma de Midgard não esteja cuidando do tronco como deveria).

Poucas vezes um título cabe tão perfeitamente à uma imagem. Fotografia mínima. Limpa. Parabéns

Great shot! Really like the lighting and the colours. (I wonder how would it look if printed with gum bichromate).

Kristine, Thanks for your comments. I too find it strange what is seen in the alternative process category, and if you care to look I have other cyanotypes posted. As for your questions. I use the traditional method (A+B). Sometimes I alter the proportion between the two solutions. The final print is about A4 size and the negative is created with C67 Epson printer and a common transparency. I begin with a digital file and the workflow is quite simple: image balance or, depending on the image, a cyanotype specific curve -> invert -> print. (quite neandertech). Regards, Fabio

The thumbnail does not make justice to your image. Great composition and although with a bright light it transmit some sense of wasted time. Nice work.

Thanks for your comment Aniko. Some alternative processes (which I rather call historical) have the advantage of being low and hard tech. Cyanotypes, for instance, may be toned with tea or coffee, or any other tanin rich liquid, without loosing its permanence

This photo is not about the image per se. It's about a place, a city, a time in history recorded.

Perhaps a wider angle to show more of the gentleman, but anyway you've got a simple and efficient image that really transmits a "morning paper" mood.

The lighting is very good rendering a great deal of gray tones. Great composition and bw choice. I think there's something more about it than the technical aspect. The image has a story to be told as you have started it on "about".

Is very good to find something where most people dont't see anything. Very nice work that cannot be commented on any technical aspect. It's a work of sentiment. Very nice job.

Nice work. Excelent skin tones and details. When it comes to portraits, I like to think that there's more in it than the image of a face. A Whole life is portraied with all the wrinckles and white hairs. Again, very nice work.
