Yes, you needed better light onm this face. Back light does not do the job. Should be a nice lens, with the good f speed. tripods and 400 ISO. Always smile before depressing shutter. Be well, Stan

Thank you all for your kind comments. I agree it is a bit soft. I just got my 50D and don't have the lenses I want yet. This one will have to do for now. In the meantime I am really enjoying the new toy.

I can't believe this has only gotten 6 views so far. While a tad soft in details, I find it beautiful to look at, and love the way you composed it with the vignette effect. Nicely done!

Yes... There are alternate views. Going through your work I see you do florals. It is not hard to take a pic of a pretty flower... what is nice, is when one starts to look at alternative angles. Nice.
