This an unique perspective. Unfortunately the horizon is not level. Nice pastel colors, but nothing really jumps out to be noticed. The snow is well done, especially considering the dogs are black. Good exposure on this!!

I had an alternate version that wasn't so closely cropped. Honestly, I was trying to hide the concrete as much as possible. But I agree that a wider shot may work better. Thanks!

Maybe you could have cropped a bit less, to keep some little space next to his left ear and more space at the right as well.

A very interesting crop, but it might be too small a section for the camera's resolution as it appears a bit noisy/unsharp. Perhaps you need to postprocess this a bit more and if need be, reduce it some.

I think you have a good eye for composition. I have been told on this site and others is that one thing I need to remember is that direct flash makes a seen a little too bright and therefore it is better to someday purchase a flash that tilts up a little to help the light bounce down off the ceiling on to the subject. If this is wrong...please someone help explain this better. I thinik you have a good eye though and I've also been told that the key is to keep shooting!
