Great Photo. The color are awesome. Makes me imagine what the burning bush would have really looked like.

Wonderful Photograph John, Great Colors and Clarity. Very well presented. Interesting lighting. Good focus for for the amount of lighting... Would be nice to tell us about the shot in the "About" section so we can try what you've done...

Thanks for sharing,
GOD Bless...

John, thanks for the comments. This is one very powerful image. The tones are so subtle. It could easily function as B/W image as well. Composition is spectacular in that frame is just enough off-center to pique one's interest in exploring the image deeper.

Wonderful reflections, and I like the blue in the foreground. I'd perhaps crop the top a little or otherwise adjust the brightness there.

Wonderful shot John, I see you shoot in the same area as I do, I am in san mateo, often shoot in and around the marshes here on the pennensula, my last shot was actually at the marsh in redwood city, keep up the great work, hope to see you out there sometime,,,,

I haven't seen this, but I think that's a Costa's Hummingbird if it's deeply purple, Anna's Hummingbird if it's more of a ruby-red color. Hard to tell with the way their feathers shine sometimes! But I lean toward Costa's Awesome capture! Hummers are so full of attitude and personality for their little size!

John, I asked the same question sometime ago in a forum and according to Al, the number of comments was more or less the same as before the change. The number of new photo's though, tripled. Resulting in less comments per photo. I've noticed the same thing. At the moment it's also vacation time and while I think it's strange (internet being world wide I would assume a more even distribution of people away and such) it is very quiet on this kind of sites..

As for the photo, the birds have nice colors and I like the composition. Well done!

Vikram: Ever since they've "upgraded" the UseFilm site, I've found it much less appealing. For one thing, I don't even get notices anymore when someone like you leaves a comment. And when I post a new photo, hardly anyone says anything about it. So either my work is going bad, or something sour has happened to the site. You tell me?

Great capture John. Well, Rhonda seems to be right. I haven't got any reply to my last couple of mails. Well, I don't accuse. But I do expect a little bit of communication.

Cheers

Who would imagine shooting a floral at such long focal length but it works because it's not just about the flower. The light and shadow are very effective although this is some strange discolouration around the edge of the large shadows.
Very striking image.
