Well, normally the software should be able to "shift and strech" the images around until the perfectly fit, Teresa. You indeed will have to retry this or something similar, though it does have a very special impact this way. But, as I always say, the look of the image alone is nothing, if it doesn't meet the intention that the photographer had. I guess you had one, didn't you?
BTW, didn't you notice that there has been that "softening"? Why didn't you try that again until it is not softened it, of course in case you didn't intend to have it this way?

Thank you Nick for your critique. To tell you the truth..I'm not really sure what I did that caused this photo to be so soft. This was my first attempt at HDR and it's possible that the 3 hand held shots were not aligned properly. But I hope to get better at this technique. I think the tripod will be necessary to help improve my photos. But I'm having fun with it. Thanks again, Teresa

The palette of colors is exciting, Teresa, as is also the exposure balance. The plasticity in all the big bumps and curved surfaces was very well preserved, which always says much about well captured gradients and thus also about exposure balance. But why is that so softened out? Everything here seems to be so free of sharp lines and contours which one would expect from such a metallic object. Was that your intention? (I.e. did you intentionally used a soft focus for the images?)
