This is interesting and the boy in the middle makes the point in a triangle compostion. I would have like to see the brick work fade into the background a bit more. Was this one originally in color. That might be nice to see too.

I am now hungry! I don't know what the other person was going to write about the depth of field, but I think it is outstanding. The only change I would make would be to bring out the reds a bit more as I have done here.

INFÂNCIA COM RIO AO FUNDO
Nunca soube ao certo de onde vêm estas águas
Nem que rio é que as leva ao mar...
Só me importa saber, e sei-o com a mais absoluta das certezas,
Que elas são o rio que passa na minha infância
Como num lugar que não soubesse que o rio fosse lá passar...
Cá está a represa chã
E nela a sombra irrequieta dos salgueiros.
Ao lado, meio aninhado, o moinho de telha-vã.
Cá está ainda a frescura duma água mansa
E um calor estouvado de criança...
Tudo como num quadro rústico
De um pobre pintor de domingo.
Dito assim, poeticamente,
A minha infância ergue-se na parede defronte
Dos meus olhos frios
E é um lugar tão real
Como são reais os lugares onde passam os rios.
Vejo tudo isto, sei o que sei
E nada mais me importa saber.
Que ganharia eu na minha ignorância
Se me viessem dizer
Que só os rios é que passam por lugares
(Mesmo os de infância)
E continuam a ser rios?
