Hallo Dave
Cooles Bild! Ist dir schon aufgefallen, das das Feuerwerk die Form eines Herzens hat?
Viele Grüsse Jessica

Hi Judi,

Sorry for not responding, but I seem so busy! I don't know how that can be, since I really don't do anything. I did just post my 26 things entries. What a job!

Thanks for the help on the photo. I need to get back to my photoshop education. I did try a couple of other straighten projects and it worked. Don't know why my efforts failed on this photo, but it failed to straighten regardless of direction I moved the cursor.

My URL for 26 things is http://fotobydave.fotopages.com?167182

Thanks for your comments. I agree that my firework shots are not as good as I would like. I have lots of excuses but I should have practiced with my equipement the night before. Perhaps the strangest thing that happened was the open switch on the cable release locked on and I did not know it. The camera ceased to work for sometime till I pull out the cable release and stopped using it. I figured it out in the daylight within a few seconds.

Its goog but could be better. try ISO 100 at f/8 on a tripod and open shutter with a cable release for the burst durartion. You we be suprised at the results.

ISO 64-100 @ f/8
ISO 125-200 @ f/11
ISO 320-400 @ f/16
ISO 800-1000 @ f/22

Hi Judi, Go ahead and fix this image. I tried again and I need more instruction on correcting this type of problem. I use the crop tool but it does not want to turn the right way no matter what I do. I have some mini tips on this but did not look them up.

Thanks for the help!

I agree about cloning out the leash, as well as straightening out the horizon and also making Missy a little more prominent in the shot...

That's interesting. If you would like, with your permission, I wouldn't mind having a go at straightening the image. If this is okay with you please let me know.

Hi Judi, Thanks for the comment. I did notice the slant in the horizontal after I got home and tried to fix it in photoshop. Once the horizontal was correcte, I had slanted trees

Guess I will try and retake this image. I thought the fence and trees in front of the lake was interesting.

Beautiful and clear. The only suggestion I will make is, unless you were specifically aiming for it, watch the horizontal line of the photo. An image definitely becomes more appealing to the eye when the vertical/horizontal lines are straight. Try it and you will see what I mean. Apart from that.....well done.

Nice lines... If you have a photoshop program I'd maybe try to take the leash out so Missy seems to have more freedom with the lake.. Good photo!

cool image to get a better effect you could use a tripod to shoot two identical images with different shutter speeds then you could combine the two in photoshop to keep the maestro blurred while having a crisp image of the musicians
