Thank you Timothy,
It was taken at Keesler AFB, Mississippi. I was in the Air Force at the time. The camera was on a tri-pod and with the self timer. The camera was a old manual Focus/exposeur. (New at the time) Cannon AE-1. 400 ISO film with a 50mm f/1.8 lens.

Very cool shot, even though it is a bit grainy, I love it, you captured a moment, Or someone else did, considering you are in the photo... (-:

Ahhh - mini-you! Very nice job of restoration even though I didn't see the original. You have nice vivid colours here and great contrasts. Very nice lighting so good job with the Paint Shop Pro.

Thanks for the comments Ann.
Oh, Orion does not like the vet at all. He screamed when the vet was going to check his ears (but didn't touch them)and almost bite the assistiant when trimming his nails!

The Next Photo I Put up of him will be from 35mm film. I don't like digital camera that I have.

WOW those are killer eyes. He is going to break some hearts in a few years. A touching moment captured here Shawn. Good shot.

I'm back posting again after a short break form UF and a short holiday away with no internet. I nearly went nuts. (haha) I hope you had a great start to the new year Shawn. How are things going with Orion? I hope to see more photos of him again soon.

Cheers - Ann

Hi Shawn, I've been away and just got back. Heaps to catch up on and came straight here first to start with this one.

He's adorable. He's the spitting image of a border collie I had years ago. I called him Blaze. Orion is a real heart throb. Steals your heart at first glance. You 2 will bond faster than you can keep up with the photos of him growing up. Good thing you have that digital even if it is a cheapie P&S. At least you have something for quickie shots such as this one.

Take lots of photos Shawn cause he will grow up so fast.

Thanks for your lovely comment on my Christmas image.

I hope you and Orion had a Happy New Year together and many more happy years to come. I look forward to seeing lots more photos of Orion (love that name)

Cheers - Ann

Well it a cheap point and shoot digital camera, you get what you pay for as they say. The print quality is very poor I tried to print this picture. It was not sharp at all. (my 25 and 35 year old camera can do 500% better) compaired to my 35mm and 6cm x 6cm cameras.
I use it only for quick pictures to upload.

It's very clear, Mr. Rullens, that beside photography you're very keen on aviation & parachuting. About the first of these I know very little, about the second I know more because when very much younger I was the medical officer of a parachute unit. Anyway, it's always a pleaure to meet a new UF friend & see the way he regards (& takes photos of) what he sees. I address you formally because I don't remember having met you before on the pages of UF. Be that as it may, I'm fascinated by your aerial & para- photos, not to mention all the others.
You are, of course, invited to read my bio & pay further visits to my portfolio.
In the meantime I thank you for your very kind comment on my "End of summer."
Best regards,
Dr. Rafael (Rafi for future comunications) Springmann

No problem with the comments.

I still really miss him.

I still havent developed that roll yet. I have been busy trying to find a new job. My job will be gone in January. The company I work for is doing away with the department that I work in.

Thanks for finding the peri-peri seeds I can't find them anywhere here in the USA.

Thank you very much for the comments Ann.

I chose to work the holidays, I was asked if I wanted off. I decided to work. Because of this loss.

I live by myself with my 12 year-old Black short-hair cat named Eight-Ball. I just want to be by myself holiday season. I still have a painful hole in my heart.

Hi Shawn, no doubt you still feel like there's a hole in your life without Max. This is very soulful photo of him. Our fur friends are so precious. I hope you can still have a Merry Christmas and remember Max with a smile soon instead of the pain of his absence. I wish you good health, peace and happiness in the new year Shawn. Hope it's a good one for you.

The backlighting on the leaves is pleasing to the eye, wish it were shown more with just 1 or 2 barks, still a great shot Shawn. Thanks for the comment to my image & regards to your question on IR film, it MUST be loaded & unloaded in complete darkness, so the closet will do as long as no light leaks thru. Wratten 25 A or red filter is essential to achieve the effect, generally I bracket my exposures by starting 2 stops underexpose up to metered setting. Hope this answers your questions, best wishes.

David, thanks for the comment.
This was a hand held shot. I did not make the print my self. I go to the camera shop and have it sent out. I just noticed it. This camera (Yashica-E) I use only has 1 shutter speed (1/60-sec)and a full range of lens openings. 3.5 to 16. and it is a Automatic or semi manual. I haven't used this camera much, due to the fact 12 shots to a roll, very expensive. I mosly shoot 35mm. I still have gone digital, It may be a while before I do.

thats a very nice nature shot. I love B&W nature and landscape photos, although I haven't tried B&W landscape myself yet.
One thing I noticed here is the camera was a little litlted (leaning left).
Did you make the print yourself?
