Personally, I like how part of it is blown out. It helps to portray the brillancy of the sunlight on the beach. Looking at this, I can just imagine sitting on the sand reading a book and then glancing up as she walks by- this is exactly how that would look! I think, in this case, that the overexposure around her enhances her face! Great shot!

Hi Chuck,
Cheers for that, but I was on a beach and it was her face I was exposing for, not her boobs...

Thank you Sanjeev. Yes you are right, that's about how we felt. We didn't say much for quite a long time actually. We both had to get out of London for a bit. This is what we were watching in the fields behind the camera:

Regards,
Tom

very emotive picture.the way she is calmly breathing in the black and white surrounding is wonderful. the landscape and herself is so very well mingling it looks to me as if she nature is peneterating mystical feelings her and she is reveiving it with close eyes.
this is my version of understanding
i am gald to see the photo i will talk later on this

Tom,

This is strikingly good.
Lovely and grubby feel to it, just like everywhere I go in London with my own personal grubbiness. Real people, people you could have a jolly chat and an agreement sandwich with and, if things turned really sour and you needed a last resort option, a fight.

Nice contrast to the three sloping ominous girly shoppers as they approach with their dossiers of what to do and street smiles and petulant fashion accessories.

Interview time...

Paul

i think this is very good. i find it interesting how foreground and background are more separated by values (dark/light) than they are by focus.
