The DOF comes from the long lens used (300) and the wide apature (f2.8). It is not really a "macro" lens but just a long telephoto.

Thank you both for your kind comments! The funny part is that I wouold have NEVER taken this lebns to shoot flowers, I would have taken one of my 2 macro lenses or maybe my 70-200. But a 300 seemed just too long, but when forced to shoot with that it worked well.

This is crazy 555 views and no one could stop long enough to say that this is a beautiful scene.
