congrats for this fabulous shot, but not sure about two things nonetheless: first of all, your statement that you can not get something like this is in digital world; I have to recognize is difficult to get the tonal range and the intrinsic quality of film itself but not sure; and secondly a minor nit: I'd prefer the girl was looking outside instead directly to the camera; anyway, this is a superb capture with a super post-process. Congrats for the award

the play of light makes the image. awesome split and a nice idea for showing the silhouettes. maybe a lower viewpoint would be also great to get the silhouettes against the lighter parts...

Hi Omar,
I like pictures taken with ancient cameras. They give that special feeling of going back in time.
Sometimes I play with a similar, altough much cheaper, model the Lubitel.

Hey Omar. You're certainly doing well with the Holga! You inspired me to buy a plastic camera too - though not mastered it yet. Hope to get some results up here soon. Hvae had a dry patch photo wise - nothing has really made the grade. trying to get back into it!

Wonderful empathic portrait. It shows you don't need to have romantic surroundings to be romantic.
I think the "Holga effect" is better made in PS than with a bad lens because you can choose to have at least some of the image sharp + it doesn't have to be at the centre.
