Congratulations on your beautiful new daughter. She is so precious with her little hands folded up and her looking right into your eyes. It is evident that she feels loved and safe. I agree with Alexander that maybe a tighter crop would enhance your shot of this tender moment. It would cut off some of the darker area on the left and leave only the emotion between the two of you for the viewer to focus on. I know some people do not like an inclusion of thier picture with a change. So, I do hope I am not offending by including this with a tighter crop. This picture goes into my favourites as it shows such tenderness.

Hey Eb. Indeed, the original image was stolen during the burglary. This is the only remaining copy, and is quite small. It has been enlarged to fit here, hence the resolution suffering somewhat.

It is well composed and dramatic tonally and in colour. But, Graham, it lacks the usual definition I see in your photos - not quite so real, so I am puzzled.

The shot is actually all zoom, yes, but cropped by thirds for impact. It was a 28-105 Nikkor lens, wide open. It was extrapolated with PS.
This one was actually hand held, so I got lucky! Normally a support is required for these shots as the POF (point of focus) will also blur.
