Great shot Matt! I just bought a Russian fisheye for my Canon EOS outfit.

I've started using Flickr more now that Usefilm: http://www.flickr.com/photos/nickrussill/ where you can see my photos of Kite Aerial Photography!

Cheers

Nick

Woops. Typo corrected, thanks Gary.
I know what you mean about having a person to give some sense of scale but for some reason nobody else wanted to come with me that morning. I guess I can understand why, it was around -10°C and very windy with a 4am start.

You walked up Pen Y Fan (you've a typo in the title) before sunrise - in winter -a madman! The shot would probably benefit from something like a person somewhere in the frame to allow the viewer to better determine scale. Please don't tell me you went up on your own! Beautiful colours.
Regards, Gary.

Hi Mat, Don't you just love the 10.5 mm lens? Very intriguing use... It renders the landscape almost abstract, letting the viewer focus on the fabulous warm tones of the rising sun in the snow. Good stuff, and a very creative approach. Very good shot.

Cheers,

Hugo

Great use of the fisheye Matt. This is an extraordinarily beautiful image. It would be difficult to find anything to nitpick about it. I certainly can't. I think the composition and FoV is splendid. The rays of light are to die for. And as an added bonus, the pattern of shadow against light is almost Ying and Yang shaped... An all round great capture IMO.

Cheers
Rina.

Hi Matt, The simplicity of the subject and composition was already appealing in the thumbnail (in the new random image page after leaving a comment), but is definitely stronger in the large version. Very good composition, and good use of a PL filter (I presume)

Cheers,

hugo

I've felt like this a few times at work lol. Nice Shot. Thanks for your commnets on my floral shot. I deliberately left the bottom flower with the splash like reid, to give that flayling effect. I can see how your way would've looked cool too. Each to thier own eh.

Hi Darlene, thanks for your comments. I was lookig at your portfolio and it is simply stunning. I really don't know where to start but I will say I particularly like your shot of "The Hunter" http://www.usefilm.com/image/858859.html for its great composition and simplicity. Lovely.
