So sharp, wonderful snow texture, & I love the tiny moon peeking over the distant mountains.
I may have been tempted to crop the left middle bush as my eyes keep going there. After that,I'd probably stick it in a frame....

Beautiful shot... I agree on it is very dreamy... love the softness, and the lighting... I just think it needs more room above the top tulip... Just my opinion

Thanks guys. I forgot to mention that the image I worked on was one I had applied Guassian blur to, purposely to give it a more dreamy look. Maybe that worked better with the origianl Red Tulips than this blue version.

Nice atmosphere. Many people seem to prefer their flowers super sharp with everything in sharp focus. I'm not in that camp, sometimes having things a bit soft adds a lot more mood and feeling such as the work of Jim Brandenburg: http://www.jimbrandenburg.com/days_of_summer/htmls_days_of_ summer/1_30_days_of_summer.html

good color choice for your manipulation...it does have a sureal feel about it...might suggest tweaking the leaves a bit too...focus is just ever so soft but I think that helps give the dreamy effect...might want to soften the tulip base just a bit...good imag

Nick,

This is beautiful, I especially like the sunlight on the warm rocks, with shade on the cool water. Beautiful reflections, great colour and composition.

Warm colors are impresive, and smoke worked like ND filter here.

Your touched up version is a definite improvement in my opinion. The reduced saturation makes a much "gentler" picture. I also like the lessened bluishness of the shade area. The whole photo now seems more unified.

way too much saturation looks like you compensated 1 1 1/3 ev (polorizer or mainpulation evident) I have nothing against maniplation
when done properly.. this almost takes on a comicbook-like appearance

Howard, your suggestion prompted me to do some PS touch up work, here is the result:

I did use a Grad ND filter for this shot, but it could do with some more PS work as it is an older image.

Suggestion: use of a graduated filter would reduce the difference between the brightness of sunlit and shadow areas. I think that would improve the photo, although it is nice as it is.
