About Yes Sir, she is the 'one' who was thinking to plant that . . . !
"I am not assuming, I DO BELIEVE so Sir" the disguised officer told to his disguised superior.
"But Sir, I am a gardner" said the poor woman "I ALWAYS plant".

"FEAR" of New Terrorism !?

A picture sometime tells a story so well that your imagination runs wild. This is that picture. The looks and the pointed fingers are classic. I like the image in black and white, it feels more mysterious. Nice composition and capture.
Kelly

Kambiz K   {K:37420} 3/26/2006
Thank you George for your comment.

Kambiz K   {K:37420} 3/26/2006
Golboo, I did not talk about your English Language.
I talked about what did you try to tell me.
When you write a sentence or a statement, it should make SENSE, rather write something jive without any meanings.
This is the reason that I suggested you if you have difficulty with English language, you could write your comments in Farsi Language, or any languages which you are comfortable with it.
DO NOT FORGET that this beautiful site (UF) give this oppurtunity to every body from four corners of our planet to write their commnents in their own language which later would be translated to English by Google.
Thats all I try to tell you.
I didn't mention anything about your photography at all!

Kambiz K   {K:37420} 3/26/2006
Thank you Kelly for your comment.

Kombizz, the man with the umbrella cannot be trusted, he appears to be concealing something (under his hat perhaps, artificial intelligence?)He must be "neutralized". I believe he could be the threat of a New Terrorism.

It is one of your best shot Kambiz both in composition and definition! It is really worthy for so many attentions and comments. a Very thoughtful journalist action!
Best regards: Maxime

Annemette Rosenborg Eriksen   {K:55797} 3/30/2006
Very interesting image that almost looks like from old time Britain because of the men´s clothes and the use of tones, but looking at the woman it´s obvious that it´s present time.
Great that you caught her expression, and the men´s somewhat arrogant attitude towards her.
Best wishes,
Annemette

Karina Brys   {K:16541} 3/30/2006
Great characters you have captured here! Your about is quite interesting and well found.

Nick Karagiaouroglou   {K:126355} 4/1/2006
The fact that it is B&W reminds me of a very dark time that we had here in Europe.

With the quality of a documentary picture you throw the question in the air:

What comes next, if we accept that pure interpretation of ordinary facts is enough to stamp somebody as a bad men?

Let's remember: Most of that, which we thought intuively true has been proved to be completely false!

An excellent photo and much more than this:
An excellent *message*!

Bravo!

Per Dybro   {K:632} 4/2/2006

Thank you Czeslav.

Salvatore Rossignolo   {K:13559} 4/16/2006
Wow Kambiz what a powerful moment. Your choice of sepia was key, especially with these agents in such traditional attire if only the suspect was more traditionally clad. I love the shot and the finger of blame is compelling considering the well mannered nature of Brit gentlemen, she must have really screwed-up. Great capture my friend.
Sal

Kambiz K   {K:37420} 4/16/2006
Thank you Salvatore for your comment.

Clive Carter   {K:8603} 4/17/2006
The British aristocracy make me laugh wearing those stupid Bowler hats.
I think a little adjustment with the curve command might improve this image. It is really a matter of taste but I have added my suggested idea.

Sharpened and tones adjusted.

Teresa Moore   {K:10954} 4/17/2006
Very well captured. Interesting shot and story to follow. Nice work..By the way, your lifes story is also very interesting. You would make a great writer as well as a photographer.

Andre Denis   {K:61561} 4/17/2006
Hi Kambiz,
A very interesting and controversial subject that has many people talking.

bruno winston   {K:-76} 4/17/2006
how came you have a so great variety of photos?

Kambiz K   {K:37420} 4/17/2006
Bruno, is it an statement or what?

My camera is my first and last partner.

I am high whenever I touch her!

I feel her whenever I feel my subject thru her!

You have to be very SENSITIVE and be HONEST with your FEELINGS.

THEN you could have varieties of images!!

Kambiz K   {K:37420} 4/18/2006
Bruno,
I was very sure to see few images of your works in your portfolio.

BUT

a ZERO image in your portfolio say something in a sarcastic way to the art of photography!
ha ha ha

Mansour  Salek   {K:180} 4/26/2006
good job! but it mostly looks like a film scene!

Kambiz K   {K:37420} 4/26/2006
Salam Mansour
Ba tashakkur for your comment.
Do NOT forget some how 'life' is similar to a 'play' and all of us are 'actor' and 'actress' in it!!
So Mansour try to 'play' your role in the best way based on your "script"!!!! so the "director" like it.

Klaas  Baas   {K:15108} 4/26/2006
Great capture Kambiz and with a very suitable title.
The expression on the face tell us, that she's guilty. Fantasctic moment captured here.
Best regards,

Klaas

Kambiz K   {K:37420} 4/26/2006
Thank you Klaas for your comment.

I am sorry that I disagree with you about that poor woman. She is simply a gardener, nothing more.
Never judge a book by it's cover !

Mohamed Elfakharany   {K:795} 4/26/2006

I love how you manage to capture such sincere expressions in every day life. Well done!

Kambiz K   {K:37420} 4/27/2006
Thank you Ciana for your comment.
I guess when 'you' are sensitive enough to feel aroung 'yourself' and 'have a good eyes for photography', then the result would be that!

Kambiz K   {K:37420} 4/27/2006
Thank you Mohamed for your comment.

Klaas  Baas   {K:15108} 4/27/2006
Thanks Kambiz for explaining, but I menth, that that is what the picture tells me, excellent capture.
Take care,

Klaas

nice capture Kambiz, the timing is just perfect with the look on the woman and the pointing hands of the man. With this gestures a lot of story can really be made... they didn't know the photographer is the terrorist in disguise... hhahaha. nice story line you did..

Mohammad Porooshani   {K:20705} 5/2/2006
Excellent Shot dear Kambiz,
I want to learn such photography soon,
It's interesting in its way,
you know, when you take too many shots in florals or any category that immediately relates to Composition and pure art, it's very hard to take your shot and take street or journalism Shots!
But I will try (I bean from yesterday!).
Perfect work indeed,
Very Well done to you,
Mohammad

Lubi Star   {K:3903} 5/5/2006
excellent photjournalism... a great moment frozen in time... the expressions of the people are most interesting and the accusing finger along with the formal dressing of the men - as opposed to the woman - really convey a message to the viewer... true, the image has a british flair in a stereotype way (i suppose the hats and umbrellas are kind of trademarks) and fear of new terrorism - as you put it in your about - has become part of everyday life... unfortunately in my opinion because fear usually leads to people to acts of cruelty and discrimination against other people (due to their nationality, way of life, religion etc etc)often without supportive evidence to do so... a strong statement accentuated by b/w tones... congrats...
keep on the mindful work...
Lubi

We better be sure, and see what books she's checked out at the library!

I agree that if you put citizens in a state of fear, they are more than willing to let the government decide FOR them who needs to go away ...quietly.

Kambiz K   {K:37420} 5/6/2006
Thank you Paul for your comment.
I didn't understand exactly what you are trying to say: "We better be sure, and see what books she's checked out at the library!"?

Paul Lara   {K:86864} 5/6/2006
Oh, I'm sorry. I'll explain:

The U.S. Government passed a law making it 'legal' for the FBI or others to order a list of your reading materials from the librarian.

Naturally, librarians and liberterians are upset about such an anti-democratic law that invades privacy.

Kambiz K   {K:37420} 5/7/2006
Thank you Paul for the info which I didn't know about it.

So actually American LOST their freedom in the centre of democracy!

How strange!

"Those who deny freedom to others, deserve it not for themselves; and, under a just God, can not long retain it."
The Collected Works of Abraham Lincoln edited by Roy P. Basler, Volume III, "Letter To Henry L. Pierce and Others" (April 6, 1859), p. 376.

Kambiz, you have not uploaded any photos for such a long time. Are you OK?

Cheers

Phil

Kambiz K   {K:37420} 5/27/2006
Thank you Phillip for your concern !

Recently I have noticed something about this site, which somehow bothers my feelings.
I am sure that in a NEAR FUTURE I am putting images in this site.
At the MOMENT, all of my FEELINGS hurt.

If you are interested in my new photos (or images) I put it EVERYDAY in other sites.
In order to find it, simply search about my name in any search engine sites like Yahoo, Google, etc. Then you would find them! (hopefully)

my PASSION is photography, it is better than anything valuable in this crazy world, it is similar to oxygen for breathing "FREEDOM" !!

The REAL STORY is as follow:

Yes Sir, she is the 'one' who was thinking to plant that . . . !
"I am not assuming, I DO BELIEVE so Sir" the disguised officer told to his disguised superior.
"But Sir, I am a gardner" said the poor woman "I ALWAYS plant".

"FEAR" of New Terrorism !?

"Do you have an attack of "photographer's block"?

Ezequiel Lozada   {K:17134} 6/1/2006
Do you remember the Peter Sellers' masterpiece (double-edged satire on politics and television), based in the novel of Jerzy Kosinski, "Being There"(1971) ?
Sure they think that the lady is going to take the political power !

, . Soon afterwards he received a telegram from its lead character, Chance the Gardener: "Available in my garden or outside of it." A telephone number followed and when Kosinski dialed it Peter Sellers answered.

Chris Boivin   {K:9030} 6/1/2006

Ricardo  Alonso   {K:2147} 6/7/2006

Excelente.!

Thank you Alonso for your comment.

Anne Knes   {K:60426} 6/8/2006
me atrapo tu foto, esta foto esta magnifica, parece sacada de alguna pelicula de Michael Curtiz el cineasta de Casablanca, pero esa campera de la chica, la corta y te pone en un cine contemporaneo.

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100828} 6/27/2006
Kambiz:
Not that you need any more comments on this shot . . . BUT . . . this is a well spoken political statement and as you and I BOTH know there is a "politics of fear" that governments use. From Kennedy's famous missile gap to GW Bushs color coded alerts . . . these things never change and the bulk of the population seem willing to give up freedom in exchange for security. Nothing new about this but I sense in the repeated political commentary you leave on photos that you are frustrated by being able to clearly see that which so many others do not see.
Don't blame UF or have hard feelings (or hurt ones) that these types of photos do not receive awards like the others tend to. I was here since 2003 and never won an award until 2006. This is not about awards. It's about photography. Frankly, I'd like to see more of yours posted. The UF 'powers that be' also do not tend to award photoart images. There are some brilliant photoart concepts here as well as the journalistic styles like your own.
....post more here . . . I don't surf the net and check other sites and would like to see more. I was the first person to comment on this image . . . and the style is uniquely your own. Photography would be a great way (in images like this) for you to make your political statements and have the conversations you seek. What type of journalist would allow his voice to be quieted so easily as to allow hurt feelings to prevent future commentary? You have things to say and your own unique style of photography in which to say them . . . or they will remain unsaid. The choice is yours. I hope to see more from you soon . . . but here; not elsewhere.

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Kambiz K   {K:37420} 6/30/2006
Thank you Doyle for your time and energy to wrote your opinion in that passage.

I didn't write your answer at that date you posted it (6/27/2006). I needed time to find a right time to answer you.

First of all, I DO believe in the POWER of PEOPLE who DID stop Vietnam War and many other wars when their REALIZED the "TRUTH"!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A715060
http://www.commondreams.org/headlines05/0926-07.htm
http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2006/03/anti-war-anniversary-protests-bust.html

Secondly I do NOT blame UF at all! I did NOT uploaded my images in order to get UFVT (UF Virtual Trophy) at all. Also I am not that kind photographer (like others) to put my images many times in different period of time in order to win anything.
I UPLOADED MY IMAGES because I WANTED TO SHARE MY FEELINGS to other photographer who appreciate photography (same wave length) THRU MY COMMON OBSERVATIONS BY MY IMAGES. That's all.
My only problem with UF would be the anonymous committee of judges who constantly chose images that (perhaps) I or others do not agree with their decisions. I would like to see there would be movement in that committee. I mean new people (member) move in and old members retire or selected later on. So there would be a rotation. Or UF make such a system like F.o.t.o.p.o.i.n.t.s. that a ROBOT software find the winners or best images based how members vote for those images.
Also wouldn't be nice that there are winners in other categories such as nudes! or ....
As I mentioned before in my other notes I am NOT comfortable at this time of my life to upload any images till a right moment comes and THEN you never know I upload 4 images every 24 hours!
Also I would like to tell you I surf the net because my eyes are hungry to see, my feelings love to feel. SO I do NOT bond myself to UF. That is a beautiful characteristic of Internet to surf.

So hope I answered your question.
Please feel free to write me if yu have any further questions.

God bless
Haiku
Gesundheit
Eichi.

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100828} 6/30/2006
Kambiz:
Thanks for the response. There are many people at UF who, unlike you, do not visit other photo sites. You may not like the UF "anonymous committee of judges" . . . but those who do will not get the benefit of your photos. You have something to say and a style to say it with . . . your decision eliminates a large potential audience. You need not bond to UF to share photos. Some will agree . . . some will not. You have let the persons who disagree with your politics quiet your voice.

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Kambiz K   {K:37420} 6/30/2006
