About Strange what you see from the sky sometimes. I fly a small vintage British aircraft which flies nice 'n slow. It's great for seeing the English countryside and sometimes you see the strnagest things. This was seen yesterday a couple of miles away from our small airstrip shortly after take-off.

Hilarious - you would never suspect from the ground I imagine. hey check out my aerial photo I posted recently ( a cunning way to get you to visit my portfolio which has been revived of late!)

I guess you are right, you do see some strange stuff.

Do you use a polarizer for your landscapes?

Neil White   {K:9159} 6/27/2007
No - I usually use post processing in Photoshop Elements (using the levels feature).

Geoff Ball   {K:3375} 6/27/2007
An actual polarizer filter allows for a sharper image, wheras post process just tweaks the image. (If I remember right)

Here is what Wiki says :)

The polarizer stops light that is refracted off other surfaces Polarizers are the type of filter whose use is least affected by digital photography; while effects that may visually resemble the results of a polarizing filter can be simulated with software post-processing, many of the optical properties of polarization control at the time of capture simply cannot be replicated, particularly those involving reflections.

The said, anytime I see haze, smoke or smog I shoot mostly with the polarizer. (unless I want to use it in my composition).
