Nicely done Bill; you seem to have made at least one street light disappear! I know the place well - had our wedding reception upstairs in 1994?

Mike: Went back to the original print but could'nt find the lamp post. I suspect it was the angle from which I shot in addition to some in camera editing to remove distractions. Thanks for the kind words.

Hi Bill,

I have enclosed the description of the project (as set by Al) for your benefit and others who wish to partake in this project:

"This project involves taking a sharp, well composed photograph. No tricks, no photoshop, no blurr, no abstracts, just a perfectly sharp, well composed photograph. We want to see your eye work towards a pure photographic composition. Nature photographers are you out there?"

Now as far as the image is concerned, even though it doesn't fit the project description at all, it still is beautiful. It looks more like a painting than a photograph... Even though all these photoshop filters are often over utilised, I think you've done a good job with it! Keep it up :-)

Some how this and another of my Polaroid "Paintings" made it into the wrong category. My apologies. This shot and the other are the anthesis of what was asked for. By the way the bulk of the "manipulation" is with a crochet needle on the original print with minor "touch up" in PS.
