Country - China   China
About This is some of the very old architecture on top of the equally old wall running parallel to the Han River. This type of architecture is fast disappearing in China today, but Chaozhou still has an abundance of it.

This building (and all the others) sits on top of the wall (what remains of it). The wall is about 7-8 metres high, and runs along the river for 2-3 kilometres.

Very nice, always a building is a great subject for me and so Chinese architecture... very delicate and special, at least for me and my place that the most common with these buildings element at my country is...only the red big lamps of the Chinese shops...only...

Very good work.

Such beautiful details on these buildings, it seems almost out of place with the modern buildings behind. Alison

Alison, you really have to look hard these days for this type of architecture. It's disappearing faster than you can imagine. Many cities in China don't have any of it any longer.
