Wonderful shot. The tree and roots add to the mystic look. The lighting may be a little harsh on the bush in the foreground but love the shot nonetheless. Regards.

Superbly done. Giving us a view INTO the stream is both highly original and adds just the right color and depth. Excellent work!

P.S. Reading Chris' comment above, must admit I had the same reaction... although to me it looked as if the trees and leaves might have been slightly over-sharpened. It's a miniscule flaw, but might it be worth checking your camera-sharpening settings.

Robert Whiteman   {K:2261} 7/19/2003
I don't think this is a sharpening issue. Perhaps not all displays are equal and your displays are showing more contrast than mine.(?) One of the limitations of sharing on the web I suppose vs actually viewing the same print. The "harsh" lighting doesn't seem harsh to me at all. There is some areas where the light granite behind is showing through but not much can be done with that. The sky was clear and the sun was down behind the mountains in the late afternoon just before sunset. I had planned to be there at that time for this light to get the slow shutter speeds. The sharpness was set for standard, the tone for original (lowest) and color at standard. Levels were adjusted and color corrected with just enough unsharp mask to restore focus after reducing the image.

One thought...are you using a flat panel or CRT display. These look much more contrasty on my TFT compared to my CRT which is my main computer for editing and web work. I don't quite trust flat panels just yet...

Lovely water effects.....good job :-)

A very nice image, the slowish shutter speed has done wonders with the water, excellent detail, regards - Richard.
