Very nice color, lighting, and DOF makes for a wonderful shot. I wonder how it would look if you cropped out the building on the right and just showed the arch.? Just an idea.

There is a "magical" feel to seeing the bright friendly colors through the solid, intimidating garay stone walls. I had the same idea as John Truchon as I find the half-timber wall on the right distracting. So I tried an alternative cropping. Hope you won't mind. Let me know if you like it.

Nice! Very nice architecture. The photo has the emotion of depth Gonter so the marble at the top of the gate looks like 3D... strongly textured! Also the buildings in the gate looks nice mostly because of the nice bright colours that composed nicely with the darker colours of the around of the gate.
