it enchants to me. the yellow of the sun with the target of the snow makes an excellent combination.

Just the right image for the end of the day, a hard day of hard work, but finally the night will be serene, I don?t know if it will be happy too, but for sure it will be quiet. Sad? No, only I?m inspired by your sweet photo? A lot of kisses and hugs from Italy!!!! Max

Kristina Kohut   {K:49990} 2/6/2005
Thankyou John! No, it was mostly just a little bit sharpening and some contrast. And a thin frame. But the sharpening made file size to big for Usefilm (since only 360 K are allowed) so I had to resave with lower quality. But it probably looks quite the same. I just notice that on a white screen the snow looks a bit "dirty". On dark background it looks much lighter.

Orazio Minnella   {K:48355} 2/6/2005

wow...I'm glad you DID post this, Kristina! For a winter scene, there is an abundance of color! The sunlight filtering in through the trees is beautiful and warm, and contrasts perfectly with the icy, cold blue of the snow in the foreground. This is a very appealing shot!

Dirck DuFlon   {K:35779} 2/15/2005
I can certainly understand your being tired of the cold, but for those of us who never get snow, it can be quite beautiful - never more so than in this wonderful photo!

Donald Hanson   {K:460} 2/23/2005
Hey Kriss, Good eye..Just lookin at the picture makes me guess about 12 degrees F. or so (Cold). Probably late afternoon. Perhaps you had to hold your breath so you wouldn't get condensate all over the camera. Your toes were probably starting to get a little numb. (unless your sitting in your SUV, lol). You ever listen to that crackling and crunching the snow makes when your walking on it? I don't think you can ever replicate that sound anywhere else.

Lori Stitt   {K:74568} 3/6/2005
Hi Kristina,
WOW.....this is lovely. Yes I imagine one would get bored of the winter. But, since we don't have snow here, I always find the 'white photos' simply marvelous!

This is really beautiful, morning or evening warm light, glowing on the trees and snow. PERFECT title by the way.
EXCELLENT***
Beautiful composition!
GOOD EYE,
Lori ;)

Ray Monkley   {K:12} 3/6/2005
