About Taken on a very hot Summer afternoon. The scene has a slight amount of backlighting with the sun just on the other side of my vantage point. Therefore adding a slightly different hue of blue in the sky. I decided the lone golfer stays. Any opinions are always appreciated. www.hawaiianphotos.net

What a beautiful capture. Wonderful landscape image.
Vincent,

The sky looks over saturated and bit unnatural. May be desaturating a bit will make it normal.

Great shot.

regards,
ken.

It is heaven.

Great image... I love it.
How do you get the deep blue skies? Please let me know... thanks :)

Thats why I mentioned the backlighting issue in my tech details Ken. The slide looks just like we see here. I too initially thought the sky was a bit off. However, I have since been studying this much more carefully. When the sun is basically starting its descent, this is exactly what happens. Usually we will shoot in any direction other than facing the sun. This allows for the deep blue colors I usually capture and which seem more natural and appealing. When shooting --or looking-- directly into the sun (though it is still quite high up here, otherwise no colors would come through) you actually will get more of a purple-ish hue. Try it, you will see what I mean. Thanks again for your comments.

If you use a polarizer Shahram you will get deep blue colors wherever you shoot. If you point at the sun with your index finger while your thumb is pointing up, then while keeping the index finger pointed at the sun, rotate your thumb to the right or left, these are the directione that will give you the maximum blue sky colors. However, you must have a polarizer to have any chance at all. Hope this helps.

Hey Vince, glad to see your posting again... would love some feedback on some of my latest... a profesional eye always helps!
Gorgeous colour, and I am not at all put off by the sky colour... knowing your other photographs I can see how this one fits in just as well. Seems to have a tilt to the left, but I think that this might just be an illusion because of the way the island goes into the water.
Wish I was somewhere hot and tropical right now!

I am sure the slide itself is pretty much better Vincent. The sky color looks too unnatural (might be because of a magenta cast). Also lightening condition wasn't ideal imho: to harsh and cold overall. My 2 cents.

Amazing shot. Great coloring. I can tell you planned this shot well.

The colors really pop on this shot. Nicely composed.
