I see you use the Sonnar 180/2.8, and get beautiful results with it, like this tender portrait. I would like to get one for my Arax... but it looks so huge and heavy! Do you recommend it?

meewosh    {K:448} 8/18/2005
Sonnar is amazing lens. You're right - it's heavy and quite big but it's worth of it. Quality of photos is amazing. Try it - you won't be dissapionted. I recommend you a MC version - is much better than others.
Best regards.

Thank you, Meewosh. I will definitely be getting one for my Arax (MC version)! I wondered about the Zeiss Biogon 50/4, which I note you also use very effectively, but decided to get the 55mm Arsat shift lens, which I feel will be more useful. I live in Tokyo and take architectural shots sometimes, so shift will be useful to me.
