About	Breaking continuity to go back into the archives (summer of aught two, to be exact). A heeeuge bout of procrastination saw me digging through a lot of old files and trying out PS ND effects on the cornucopia of washed out skies I've managed to collect over the years. I blame Stefan. Thanks a lot for your PS tips, Stefan! :) The old wooden Kiskatinaw Bridge, built on an obsolete bit of the Alaska Highway, was constructed by U.S. Army Engineers during the 1940s and has a nifty 9 degree curve.

Well, whatever you did to the sky certainly worked well - it looks great! What a wonderful old bridge, too - the reflective sign adds an unexpected punch to this!

Not knowing what the original looked like, it is difficult to see that you did any edits here (which is what you want of course). The sign is a little problematic in a way: it is intended to call a driver's attention but it's function is directly translated into the visual domain - it stops my scan of the image quite emphatically and I almost have to struggle to get beyond it and onwards to that curving rail! In fact it is so strong I find it amusing, a visual/graphical joke of sorts. An alternative could be to shoot from a higher vantage point (standing on a car or what have you) to put the sign a little more into the corner of the frame while also revealing the entirety of the rail.
