Even on my crappy LCD monitor at the college where I teach, this image stood out (I'll check when I get home). The mood, feel, and composition are superb. A little bit of work in PS and you have a great portfolio shot. Reverse the frame colors for added impact and better containment. Well done - it's been a while since I saw a good BW ....

Very nice framing and DOF, David. The tones are nice, but the contrast for me is too strong; perhaps it will suit well with old man portraits. Just my 2 cents...:)

Very beautiful portrait. The whole image has a timeless feel to it. The cut of the hair, the sepia tone, the expression...it all lends to that sensation. It's hard to believe that this is digital...it looks like you could have shot it on a medium format camera....very nice work!
