About I always thought that this English expression was rather funny. Now I decided to put it into an image:-)

A nice and humorous idea, Annemette! Especially the cats and dogs put in the direction of the falling rain make them look as if they were falling from the skies.

Next idea? The german expression "It's raining chair legs" or "It's raining black men and shoe makers"!

Take care and keep it up,

Nick

Annemette this is brilliant! What a great fun reason to learn and do! Marvellous image with the rain. And you sure got the cats and dogs in the air ! And it looks so good. I love it!

Dear Nick
Iīm glad you like it. Hopefully it put a smile on your face:-) Black men and shoemakers- what a funny saying! Why not mathematicians and heavy metalfreaks? Maybe they were not around in great numbers?!
Best wishes,
Annemette

You did a very good job Annemette ! I love it...it is a wierd expression and now when I hear it I will always have this image in my brain... a chuckle to myself !!!
I thin it is a 7/7 just for originality and creativity ...

Wishing you the Best,
Michele~

Love it, maybe the Nefoundland needs some rain.

Nick Karagiaouroglou   {K:127014} 10/3/2006
It did put more than a smile on my face, really! Somehow it remonds me also of the story of Mary Poppins, I don't know why :-/

Raining mathematicians and heavy metal freaks would be a problem, indeed because they are not available in great numbers. It would be only a very short rain. But in addition, the impact due to all those metal parts would be disastrous! Craters and pages of papers with theorems all over the place! Who's gonna clean that up? ;-)

Best wishes,

Nick

P.S.: Anybody found the second page of my theorem? ;-)

Annemette Rosenborg Eriksen   {K:55797} 10/3/2006
You must be kidding!! I had the exact same thought!!! Mary Poppins and her umbrella!! I actually considered if I could somehow place an umbrella in the photo, but that would ruin this saying.
Well, Iīve heard that someone actually walk on spikes- maybe thatīs after such a weird rainfall of heavy metalmen and mathematicians!
Best wishes,
Annemette

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100828} 10/3/2006
Great stuff Annemette. The old saying came from the animals falling off the roof during rain since that's where many of them slept (I heard) . . . You did GOOD with this one though. Very cool.

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

I hope spike-walkers walk in awareness of mathematicians and metalmen in the craters, when walking in spikes!

Ouch, they pierced me!

Annemette Rosenborg Eriksen   {K:55797} 10/3/2006
Dear Michele
How happy I am being able to give you such a crazy image in your head every time it rains!:-)
Take care,
Annemette

Annemette Rosenborg Eriksen   {K:55797} 10/3/2006
Yes, my big newfoundlanddog does enjoy the rain, but even more so snow. When winter approaches he feels so comfortable:-)
Best wishes,
Annemette
