Excellent Susie I love this !!! My Mom is a RED-Hat- Purple Hat Lady too !! She wears purple now - was a Red hat lady - there that makes more sense. I didn't really know there was this poem that went with it...but I love the attitude of which you have captured well with this lady !! She is stunning !! And fits this poem to a T !!!!!!
Looks like it was a wonderufl sunny and successful parade !!!

Thanks so much Michele ~ this lady was a real character and obviously enjoying herself.. now if she'd worn the 'satin gloves' from the poem it would have been perfect ~ but then her purple ring and finger nails would be hidden ~ LOL! The poem is a favourite of mine... I plan to keep it in mind for later ~ grin :)

LOL Susie...:))) The Poem is the first thing I thought of looking at the thumbnail... and then to open it up and find that is exactly what you percieved with this photo is soooo great...:)))
That Poem is my Mantra for the years to come... Life is to be lived to we are no more...:))) and then hopefully, our existance is carried through the memories of others with the Poems words ~~GRIN~~...
This is so full of life Susie... Love it for the sheer colour and vibrancy... let alone all the techno stuff like DoF, detail, light etc... ~~GRIN~~...

Many thanks Onie ~ I think that poem has a universal appeal... I used to wear purple all the time as a teenager.. may have to start re-stocking my wardrobe for such a time when I feel like wearing it again ~ lol!
