Hmm...i thought this place looked familiar. Fellow Springfieldian here. Great contrast and perspective and an awesome effect w/ the coloring. A superb pictureand i think it should have placed at the show.

This image seems flat and lifeless to me. I guess I just don't have the great 'eye' the staff does! Of Course that must also be why NONE of my work has EVER been recognized on this site! Congrats on getting noticed here- even if this viewer doesn't quite understand why this image is so great. I will check out your portfolio to see if I am missing something in your talents....

Marcy, I am responding to the conceptual approach here. I like it because it shows an uncharacteristic view of Coney Island - kind of bleek and empty.
But the kicker is the restaurant sign which warms it up with a reminder - this is Coney Island ...
