The 105, being a tele, will provide you a better lens to subject distance - you don't have to get too close to the subject as with the 60mm. If the 105 is AF, it'll do 1:1 without the need of an extension ring. The Manual Focus does only 1:2 (half the real size on the film).

Carlos. My Macro images in http://www.usefilm.com/photographer.asp?ID=15466&PF=25622 mostly use the 105mm. I'm very happy with it. Joggie, also does amazing shots with the same lens. If you go to one of mine . . . on the right side you can click the the blue 105mm link and look at all images made by that lens. That will give you some idea. Keep in mind . . . it's what is BEHIND the lens (you) that makes the most of the image you get . . .

They will both take the same picture (1:1 reproduction). The only difference is how close you will get to your cubject. I fid it is more protical to have a 105mm macro, that way you dont create shadows or scare away the bug when you are taking the pictures.

I have the 105MM nikon macro lens, but again I went for the Sigma 150MM F2.8 macro,go to a dealer and give this lens a try, it is more practical distant wise specailly for insacts, not scare them and it is also very sharp lens.
