Q. lens advice

I have a Cannon EOS Rebel GII and need some recomendation on which type lens I would need to take good pictures of my son's wrestling matches inside gym areas where the majority of the lighting is pretty far above the action. I would love to spend alot but can't. If anyone knows of a decent zoom lens that I might purchase...thank you so much. I spent alot of time searching ebay but need to narrow my search for what I might need. Any other sites that I might look for this? What attachable flash might I look for?

You're going to HAVE to spend a lot, as you're going to need a very bright tele lens and those things are quite expensive. Think $1000+

You're also going to have to buy the single most powerful flash Canon has (or Metz maybe), which will also set you back quite a bit (think $500 or so).
