  Q. NEW CANON 5D Mark II DSLR Announced - 21.1 MP/$2699 - WOW !!
Asked by Mark Julian   Donor  (K=35624) on 9/18/2008
This new 5D sounds AMAZING !! Cheaper than the original 5D when it came out, this new one also shoots HD video (1/2 Hour of true High Definition), one of only a few "full frame sensor" camera's out there (important if you have a big collection of the L (or even non-L /Standard) series lenses (when you slap on a 16 - 35mm L it's STILL a 16 to 35mm, no conversion garbage and also means you can go back and use it on your film camera unlike the ones made specifically for the non full frame digital camera's) - should be coming out in NOVEMBER (if the World Economy doesn't crash), check it out here -

It's a good move for Canon as Nikon been knocking them around lately. I think the D700 still has a small advantage in high iso but if total resolution is your bag then this is the keeper. Things have gotten more interesting.

If you check the 5D menu, it is having ISO high and ISO LOW, low means less then 100, this is for landscape and some other still life work is a real advantage, but if some one into still photography, what different the movi side of the new 5D will make to him, unless a person is just a snap shooter, I would recommend the EOS1DS Mark III for the serious photographer.
