  Q. Need a Lens for Fujifilm S2 Pro (for portrait photography)
           Asked by H Savannah    (K=20) on 6/5/2009
Does anyone have suggestions for a lens to use for portrait photography? More specifically ~ I will be taking pictures in a home-based studio for birthdays, holidays, etc. with a 10' x 20' background. I currently have a Fujifilm S2 Pro camera with 2 different lens. I have a Nikkor AF-S 55-200mm f/4.5-5.6G Lens and a Bower 0.42X Wide Angle (Panoramic) Lens w/Macro. I was considering purchasing a Tamron 11-88mm or a Nikon AF-S DX 18-55m f/3.5-5.6. What would you suggest that I purchase? Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated! Thanks!

If you are interested to have a real portrait lens which you will enjoy by all means, the Canon, makes the 135MM Soft Focus lens, this lens designed to work for portrait.

If you are having the Fuji S camera and I beleive you have to use lenses of Nikon fitting, I then recommend weather you go for the Nikon 85MM lens, or find and equivelent lens from another supplier which work with you Fuji camera, 80MM or 135MM are a prime lenses for portrait.

Thank you and wishing you all of the best.

I was thinking just get a Soft Focus Filter to screw in on you lens of the camera, or just use software to do it for you, heres a free one with heaps in it! saves you money!!!!!!!!!!!! you will be amaze and still save you $$$!!!
