You need a decent depth of field, and enough light. That means a pretty strong flash, and a decent lens.
Any DSLR can help you there. As you're probably going to be rather close to the subject, a macro setup may be your best bet. That means either a ring flash or a system with multiple flash units synchronised in a master/slave configuration.
Something like this would do the trick: http://www.europe-nikon.com/product/en_GB/products/broad/721/overview.html Can't tell you what lens to use, but I guess a 60mm micro Nikkor would do the trick. http://www.europe-nikon.com/product/en_GB/products/broad/1549/overview.html Mount on any DSLR in the Nikon range and you have a versatile system. D90 or D300 would do just fine, or save a bit and get a used D70s or D200, which are great cameras and rather underpriced used (as are all digital cameras).
