  Q. Light Streaks on Canon A-E1
Asked by katie rogers    (K=25) on 10/29/2009
I just developed a film from my canon (only the 3rd or 4th I've done myself) and noticed that the majority of the pictures have a vertical light streak running down them in the same place. I can't figure out whether this is a problem with the camera or a problem with the processing. The streak also goes over the sprokets which makes me hope it's a processing problem! Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

Looks to me like you've got a light leak. Usually this is caused by the felt around the door degrading. It can easily be fixed by a repairer, or by yourself if you can get hold of the felt. Alternatively you can do what I've done in the past and put black electrical tape around the outsides of the door, this works well.
Regards, Gary
