Hi Bart,
If you just want to learn about set up and use, you can probably get by with Jim church's Essential Guide to the Nikonos book. It is really the bible of Nikonos.
If you interested in tearing the camera down and servicing it yourself,
http://www.manuals4less.com/pricelists/Nikonos.doc
They sell the full service manual for $11 US.
Truthfully, the Nikonos II, having no electornics is pretty easy to maintain yourself. Just make sure you are cleaning and greasing your o-rings very well. Use your 35mm lens upside down as a magnifying glass to check the groove and the oring for lint/sand.
Once ever year or two, sent it to a shop for a full cleaning and adjustment.
The nicest thing about your camera, is if it does flood, you simply tear it down, clean and oil it, and put it back together. It will still work ..... the newer nikonos are pretty much paperweights if flooded.
Hope this helps.
