  Q. "Orphan Works" legislation
Asked by Chelsea Burke   Donor  (K=5008) on 4/15/2008
Someone posted a couple of links on an art forum about some proposed legislation in the U.S. that could affect your rights to your creative work, I'll pass it along here for those who are interested. (Not sure if this fits the category "philosophy", I'll suggest to the usefilm staff that we should have a "news" or "other discussions" category).

Reactions are massively exagerrated.
Essentially it only concerns works where the author can not be found that were previously published.
For example a book where the publisher has gone out of business and there's no address on record anywhere for the author.
