  Q. Mamiya self timer?
Asked by josh evilsizor    (K=1414) on 4/3/2006
I'm looking for a timer for my Mamiya RB67. I found a mechanical timer that would work, but it screws directly into the shutter button, and I'm afraid it might interfere with the picture... so, does anyone know if they make one that attaches via a cable so it will hang down instead?

Josh, you can buy a flexible shutter extension at just about any real camera store. You can screw it into the release button just like a mechnanical cable release then screw the timer mechanism into the end of it. They are about 3 to 4 inches long and flexible, I use them on all of my large format lenses so that I do not put any wear or stress on the lens release socket when I srew or unscrew my cable release. They only cost a few dollars and should do the trick.
